Have you heard this wise saying “the way to hell is paved with good intentions”, my friends, a good intention is not enough, many today are victims of things done with good intentions. I have to leave this country, everything is too hard, I will travel to USA, get a good job, settle down and leave a good life. Well, that is a wonderful plan! A legitimate plan, but can I ask you a question? Is your going according to God’s plan or your good plan.
The bible says clearly, there is a way that seemeth right unto man but the end thereof are ways of death (Prov. 14:12, 16:25) this scripture is so important that it was repeated verbatim in the same book of proverbs. I have met people who will argue on this point till tomorrow, giving all manner of genuine reasons, first, I do not doubt your legitimate reason, because you actually have a good intention but a good intention is not enough, we need to understand God has a prepared plan for a believer and our job is to inquire about his plan and follow his plan for our lives not just live our lives according to the condition of the environment.
The bible gives us examples of people who had good plans and intentions but ended up in problem, when lot was about to separate from Abraham, Abraham told him to choose, and he choose the plains of jordan, they looked so good and a well nourished land, but it brought him into serious problems, it was the grace of God that made him escape the destruction of the land of Sodom and gommorah.
We have to be very careful in our decisions, having a good intention is not enough, our decisions must be word based, spirit led, that is where lie our security, the bible gave us example of Isaac that sowed in a hard land and still reaped 100 folds , it is not where you live that matters, it is living in the plan of God that matters to a believer.
A word is enough for the wise!
